farjar Posted January 29, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 29, 2020 We will be doing an Alaskan cruise in and out of Seattle this summer. Our plan is to take a car share service ($ 36) from Sea/Tac to pier 91. On our return we plan on using Seattle's free Port Valet for our luggage and the ride share service again back to the airport. Has anyone done this? Is it a good plan? Any other suggestion? Thanks!
Woofbite Posted January 30, 2020 #2 Share Posted January 30, 2020 That's fine. You could come back to the airport on Seattle Express for $18 per person. (And if spending the night near the airport pre-cruise, $27 round trip. It is just that they can't pick up at SEA/TAC but can drop off there). We've use them and the free Port Valet a couple of times and recommend both.

If by ride share you mean Lyft or Uber, the ride share lot is about a block and a half walk at the end of the gray building, there is also a shuttle to your right when you exit. https://www.google.com/maps/@47.6286777,-122.3831309,3a,75y,329.61h,81.08t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1sxWhEu81F69QcwuCVIU0xOw!2e0!6s%2F%2Fgeo3.ggpht.com%2Fcbk%3Fpanoid%3DxWhEu81F69QcwuCVIU0xOw%26output%3Dthumbnail%26cb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile.gps%26thumb%3D2%26w%3D203%26h%3D100%26yaw%3D204.38783%26pitch%3D0%26thumbfov%3D100!7i16384!8i8192 Lots of good info here https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/315-west-coast-departures/ A- Edited January 30, 2020 by AlanF65

martylouie Posted February 2, 2020 #5 Share Posted February 2, 2020 If you can swing it, I’d try to spend a couple of days pre or post cruise to explore Seattle. It is a very tourist oriented city. Lots to see and do and taste.

Check and see what other ship if any disembarks the same day, you don't want to experience this (the first time Ovation and Solstice disembarked the same time 7000+ people getting off) They vastly improved the disembarkation as the season went on last year for that day, other days are usually worry free, the year before (2018) I walked out the door to the shuttle and saw the cab line was about a3-5 minute wait so that's what I planned on this last May.
