Bequia Posted February 6, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 6, 2006 The next Super Bowl, XLI, will be in Miami. Blocks of luxury rooms have already been gobbled up in Miami, Ft Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. If you plan on cruising around Super Bowl next year you better secure your room now if you can. ;) http://www.sun-sentinel.com/business/local/sfl-sbsuper05feb05,0,3085027.story?coll=sfla-business-headlines These hotels have the most rooms contracted to the NFL for Super Bowl XLI in 2007. mii Posted February 6, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 6, 2006 Thanks Bequia for the heads up. We all know that you and Trent always take care of us. I do not plan to be in that area at that time of year but it sure might be helpful for people who are. Again thanks. Marilyn
gone_cruisin Posted February 6, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 6, 2006 Have they got the schedule out for what dates yet?
kenelmom Posted February 10, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 10, 2006 Yesterday the rate at Holiday Inn at the port was $110.00 I had to pay $149.25 for the same room this morning for a Jan 6, 2007 stay. DON'T wait to long. I was told that rates will now start climbing. Donna

dmk Posted February 10, 2006 #7 Share Posted February 10, 2006 WOW! Why would they need all those in January?
Rare Keith1010 Posted February 11, 2006 #8 Share Posted February 11, 2006 No, the superbowl does not have an impact on early January rates or availabilty. I have been looking at a variety of hotels for early January. Rates are high but that is due to the season and demand that continues to increase year over year. dmk Posted February 11, 2006 #9 Share Posted February 11, 2006 I am looking for a room for January 20, and 21. Do you think I will have a problem. I guess that would be about 2 weeks before superbowl.
Rare Keith1010 Posted February 12, 2006 #10 Share Posted February 12, 2006 You should not be affected by the Super Bowl that weekend, on that weekend but to keep in mind that regardless of a superbowl, January is one of the peak months for Hotel occupancy in So. Florida so for the best choice of rooms I would recommend booking sooner rather than later. Keith
Bequia Posted February 20, 2006 Author #11 Share Posted February 20, 2006 Book now if you can. ;)
Maryandi Posted February 20, 2006 #12 Share Posted February 20, 2006 The same day I book a cruise, I book everything I'm going to need. I only need a hotel room but others need air, car, hotel, shuttle-you name it. No matter when you are going - events like festivals, boat shows, etc. could impact your plans.
