no fuss travel Posted May 29, 2020 #1 Share Posted May 29, 2020 Federal government has now stated that the only cruises allowed in Canadian ports are ships that carry less than 100 people. The people limit includes passengers and crew that may not be greater than

alaskaca Posted May 30, 2020 #5 Share Posted May 30, 2020 This morning all remaining cruises to Alaska had been given an availability designation of Wait Listed. This seems to be Oceania's first step when a cruise will no longer happen. It is specific only to Alaska, as there are other August cruises that still are available. If Oceania follows their pattern, formal cancellation should follow sometime the third week of June.
Rare LHT28 Posted May 30, 2020 #6 Share Posted May 30, 2020 I cannot see any sailings until at least Nov probably Dec if all the stars align I think the cancellations will be spaced out as to not overwhelm the staff that are still working & probably the $$ issue They may only be allowed to draw down on the loans a certain amount monthly slowing up the refunds even more I am just guessing so time will tell JMO

Yep -- this will be my third cancelled cruise. This one was booked with FCC that had to be used in 2020 per the last cancellation terms. Using all of the saved money from cruising to treat myself to a 2020 Corvette. Edited May 31, 2020 by PaulMCO
