Petoonya Posted July 21, 2020 Author #26 Share Posted July 21, 2020 @ducklite Hard to have 3 cruises canceled. I'm guessing that one of them was COVID related but curious. Were the others also charters/changes of itinerary?
Petoonya Posted July 22, 2020 Author #27 Share Posted July 22, 2020 Can't quibble with getting bumped from this sailing and rebooking a different date. Not only did WS give us a big discount on the new date (the special time sensitive low FP fares to begin with), just discovered today they also gave us a FCC. Really a more than fair deal. 6rugrats Posted July 22, 2020 #28 Share Posted July 22, 2020 (edited) In the past I’ve had three cruises canceled with Windstar. Two were chartered and for the other one, they changed the ship and the itinerary. Never a happy situation. Third was who knows why? I couldn't really get a straight answer about it. I saw it probably the day they posted it, called and booked it, a week later tried to find it to send a link to a friend who was interested in it, and couldn't find it. Called them and they said it was cancelled. That was a couple months ago and I'm still waiting for an email informing me of this.
Petoonya Posted July 24, 2020 Author #30 Share Posted July 24, 2020 @6rugrats @ducklite Pretty sad and upsetting. My first cancel is not so terrible after all.

We've decided to forgo the ~$200 in FCC and get our deposit back. We're hoping to head to Europe next year, but not on a cruise. We are going to give Windstar a few years to get their dry dock issues straightened out before we try to cruise with them again.
