recently booked a cruise using fcc and wondering if its possible to switch cruises?

Recommended Posts

We booked a cruise for next april 2021 out of san juan using fcc and visa points for $$ off.  We were looking at the itinerary and it appears we lost the only sea day and instead are stopping in st maarten ( love st maarten) but now we have zero sea days.   We are wondering if we can switch to a different cruise out of san juan and still use the fcc and will the visa points for dollars off transfer-   can this be done without loosing any fcc or the visa points?

Thanks for any input or insight!!!!!

Yes, but to be price protected you can only do that via L&S and you may be limited on the sailings available around April 2022. Any other move, will need a call and pay the current going rates.

we are wanting to switch from an april 25 2021 sailing to a april 18 2021 sailing.....

Go to rcl site, click on cancel. 3 options come up.. bottom is lift and switch... it will show you which dates and ships you can lift and switch to and be price protected. ... even if you booked thru a ta.

Go look and see and let us know what it says if you have questions. You will get more options this way than if you call rcl who seems to only have a much more limited list.

when i looked up lift & shift,   it sounds like you have to shift to a sailing a year later and within 4 weeks of old sail date?  we are wanting to move to the sailing the week before our current one if we dont loose visa points $ off or the fcc.....

Me thinks that you will have to give up the sea day and just stay on the ship in St Maarten.  Sorry.

Sea ya!

If you stay on the ship while in St Maarten there will be less people on the ship .

I would like this option rather than switching the cruise .

Sea days have the entire cast of cruisers on the ship limiting what you may want to do .

Nobody says you have to get off the ship at every port .

we love st maarten and will definitely go to orient beach there-   we will skip another island or 2 as this is a port intensive cruise with no sea days and 7 nights- our grown son and his wife are traveling with us and they like a couple of sea days -   we like a couple of sea days too because we enjoy moving across the ocean with no land in sight....lol

Oh yea. Then you cant keep price protection. Cwc you can move your cruise but pay new rate.

Sorry didn't catch you just wanted to move a few weeks. Then cruise with confidence sounds like your only option. At least you dont lose non refundable deposits with cwc
