Tip Question

Hi

A quick tipping question. I know Royal Caribbean provides the list of the suggested tip amounts per person.

If you have a single person in a cabin, do you need to double those tips?

Or is it still a per person amount?

I'm assuming that for the waiter, maitre D types it won't make a difference because the table is still full. But what about the cabin attendant. He's cleaning the room and probably would have to do the same cleaning even if it was 2 or more people. Maybe less mess with just 1 person, but I don't want to short change anyone.

Let me know what you think.

Thank you

Noreen

I have read several posts on this message board about singles who tip extra (without specifying double) when they cruise by themselves.

I have only cruised solo once, and I did tip well above one person's "required" tip amount, but she was so wonderful - as almost ALL of our cabin attendants have been. I wasn't doing it consciously to "make up for a missing person", but Lucian made out quite well!
