That was per person!

Tudy,

This is ridiculous.   You should find a private tour.  We liked the bus tour, but the Rocky Mountaineer Rail trip is half the price of X's tour and it is a luxury tour.

Tudy - we did the Vancouver to Calgary post cruise tour last summer.  Absolutely loved every part of it.  This was booked through Celebrity.  Here is a link to some pics: https://photos.app.goo.gl/7RnFfwjmvgXW29NG9

All the hotels we stayed were Fairmont's and they were all wonderful properties but Lake Louise spectacular.  Loved the overnight train experience from Vancouver to Jasper.  The daily tours gave us great opportunity to see the Canadian Rockies.  A few meals were included but we did not find eating venues that expensive although we did splurge at Chateau Lake Louise for a wonderful dinner with a perfect view of the Lake, mountains, and glacier.    Highly recommend!    John and Ron

Ron, We're booked on the Vancouver to Calgary post cruise tour next year and it was noted "All Canadian Rockies Cruise tours are independent travel itineraries and do not include an escort".   How was the touring without an escort?  We've taken the Alaska Lodges Land Cruise tour and had an escort which is nice to have a central figure to deal with.

We did not miss having an escort for several reasons.   We received a very detailed booklet for each day of the tour.  Since we stayed at Fairmonts, they were aware of all of the meeting spots, times of departure, etc.  Almost all of the daily touring was provided by Brewster tours.   Their guides were very knowledgeable and the buses used very clean and new.   The only decisions we had to make was where to eat dinner at night and arrange for our taxi to take us to the airport at Calgary.    We were really pleased with our experience.     --Ron

Our itinerary on our booking confirmation shows "transfer to Calgary airport" as the last entry. Were you given taxi vouchers? We have a 12:30 PM flight booked through Celebrity.

Actually, the Fairmont hotel staff handled all of the luggage during the course of the tour,  had it delivered to our room and picked up each morning.  We might have had to get our luggage from the train station at Jasper to the bus to the hotel but do not remember for sure.  On the train, we had to have a small carry-on for our small room on the train as the regular luggage was handled by VIA Rail staff and not accessible during our overnight trip from Vancouver.   At the Calgary Fairmont we arranged for luggage pickup the day we departed.   During the daily tours our personal items were secure on the bus.  Brewster tour drivers did provide some narration.   I do not think you would be disappointed.   --Ron
