Caribbean this year

Just wondering how the new quarantine requirement for Aruba and Turks & Caicos might affect this year's Caribbean season.

 

From memory, those islands aren't regular PandO haunts, but they do go there from time to time.

 

Still a few months to go, but will those islands be dropped?  I thought that the Caribbean hadn't been as badly affected as Europe.  Could more islands eventually be included in quarantine requirement?  If so, I suppose this could have the potential to scupper part if not the whole of PandO's Caribbean season.

 

We'd previously looked at Azura's repositioning cruise from the Carib to Malta in March next year, but the Ole Lady isn't keen on the flight to Barbados.  I now wonder whether even this is now in jeopardy.

Grand Cayman have stopped cruise ships until December 30th.

Azura was due her refit in April so it will be interesting if she sails back to the Carribbean empty.

I got the impression that the Caribbean had not been particularly badly hit by covid but maybe it had just not arrived in force and is doing so now, having worked its way down from Florida. I sincerlely hope not. If it does I cannot see P&Os winter season going ahead.
