We had done that excursion the first time we came to Roatan. It was a lot of fun.
GA Dave Posted November 3, 2020 #52 Share Posted November 3, 2020 (edited) My wife and I also did Tabyana when on the Getaway. The water was just beautiful and the security did a pretty good job of keeping the hawkers away from us. The lunch was pretty good for a rustic beach area. zencruisers Posted November 6, 2020 Author #54 Share Posted November 6, 2020 Once we got back about the ship and relaxed in the room for a while I went back to the upper decks to look around a bit. As you can see by the pictures it was already getting dark and we were still in port. We usually sail in the spring when there are more hours of daylight so this was different for us. There were still people out enjoying the pool and hot tubs. It was soon time for dinner and tonight is Teppanyaki. A quick glimpse of the chandelier. Dinner was good and we had a fun group at our table. I enjoy the show but if you have seen one show they are all pretty much the same. After dinner we went to one of the bars for a few drinks and decided to call it a night. We came back to our room to this towel animal. It funny how such a small thing such as towel animal can make you feel good and put a smile on your face. Tomorrow when we wake up we will be pulling into Harvest Caye, Belize.
zencruisers Posted November 12, 2020 Author #55 Share Posted November 12, 2020 Sorry about in the delay with continuing the review. Life has been busy. So where were we? Today we wake up and we are sailing into Norwegian's private island Harvest Caye in Belize. As usual I was up early taking all the earth porn from the ship. As I have said before I love this time of day on the ship. There were some clouds off to the east of ship. Let's hope for a nice day. It was a little windy today. Hopefully it doesn't get to windy as we are going para sailing today. I seemed like it took forever to get to the island. I think I see Harvest Caye in the distance.

zencruisers Posted November 20, 2020 Author #58 Share Posted November 20, 2020 This was our first time at Harvest Caye. We knew going in that the drink package does not apply here so before we left the ship we hit the bar by the pool for a few drinks. We each had a couple Bahama Mama's. A quick walk around the Water Front. This is a great feature on this ship. The gravity at Harvest Caye is much different! I have no idea why this posted upside down! The walk from the dock to the island is pretty far. If you need assistance they had plenty staff with golf carts to shuttle people back and forth. You can get and idea from the picture below how far of a walk it is. Along the walk to the island we got our first glimpse. We decided to check out the beach first. We kicked back here for a bit.
