  5. Following along. Thanks for taking the time to share.
  6. This was our first time at Harvest Caye. We knew going in that the drink package does not apply here so before we left the ship we hit the bar by the pool for a few drinks. We each had a couple Bahama Mama's. A quick walk around the Water Front. This is a great feature on this ship. The gravity at Harvest Caye is much different! I have no idea why this posted upside down! The walk from the dock to the island is pretty far. If you need assistance they had plenty staff with golf carts to shuttle people back and forth. You can get and idea from the picture below how far of a walk it is. Along the walk to the island we got our first glimpse. We decided to check out the beach first. We kicked back here for a bit.
  7. Sorry about in the delay with continuing the review. Life has been busy. So where were we? Today we wake up and we are sailing into Norwegian's private island Harvest Caye in Belize. As usual I was up early taking all the earth porn from the ship. As I have said before I love this time of day on the ship. There were some clouds off to the east of ship. Let's hope for a nice day. It was a little windy today. Hopefully it doesn't get to windy as we are going para sailing today. I seemed like it took forever to get to the island. I think I see Harvest Caye in the distance.
  8. Once we got back about the ship and relaxed in the room for a while I went back to the upper decks to look around a bit. As you can see by the pictures it was already getting dark and we were still in port. We usually sail in the spring when there are more hours of daylight so this was different for us. There were still people out enjoying the pool and hot tubs. It was soon time for dinner and tonight is Teppanyaki. A quick glimpse of the chandelier. Dinner was good and we had a fun group at our table. I enjoy the show but if you have seen one show they are all pretty much the same. After dinner we went to one of the bars for a few drinks and decided to call it a night. We came back to our room to this towel animal. It funny how such a small thing such as towel animal can make you feel good and put a smile on your face. Tomorrow when we wake up we will be pulling into Harvest Caye, Belize.
  9. I agree. We had done that excursion the first time we came to Roatan. It was a lot of fun.
  10. It was about a 20-25 minute bus ride to Tabyana Beach in West Bay. This is the second time we have been to West Bay in Roatan and we think it is a beautiful beach with great snorkeling. Our friends excursion starts at the animal preserve then comes over to Tabyana Beach so we told them we would find a nice spot with loungers. There were plenty of loungers available so we had no problem getting a group of 4. Miss Zen & I brought our own snorkeling equipment so we did and little snorkeling and had a few drinks before out friends Mark & Michelle arrived. Our friends had a great time at the Gumbalimba Preserve with the animals. They really liked how they let the monkeys get on you. We then went to the buffet that was included in the price of the excursion. It was your standard bbq chicken with rice and beans but it did hit the spot, Mark and I wanted go out and snorkel for a while. The water was pretty rough and it looked like there might be a storm heading in later. We had a guide in kayak with us who was the same guy Miss Zen and I went with last time we were here. It was little rough with the wind picking up. We had been out about 15 mins and when we started seeing a lot of jelly fish. Our guide said the storm must be pushing them in. We stayed out about another 10 minutes before deciding to call it a day. When we got back to shore we went to the bar for a few drinks. Soon it was time to go back to the ship. They have buses running back and forth often so we only had to wait about 10 minutes for the next bus. We did a little of shopping at the port before getting back on the ship. One more look at our ship before getting back aboard.
  11. Sorry for the delay in continuing the review. I keep all of my photos on Amazon and I was having trouble accessing them, I think I have it all figured out now. So where were we? Oh yeah. Today will be in our favorite place which is Roatan, Honduras We woke up to what looked to be a cloudy day. Let see what the day has in store for us. . I see Roatan! As we we pulling up to the dock you can see some blue sky. Today we are going to Tabyana Beach in West Bay. Our friend are doing the Tabyana Beach & Gumbalimba Preserve. We had done that excursion a few years ago and told them that they would not be disappointed.
  12. While checking out the upper decks i got to see a water spout. That's not something I get to see every day while living in Arizona! Soon Miss Zen was up and about and we hit the Omelette station at the Buffet. After breakfast we headed up to the upper decks to see what the day had in store for us. That is Cuba in the background. We spent most of the day out by the pool enjoying the reggae band and making the best of the drink package. I didn't get any pics of our day at the pool. That night we ate at Savor which is one of the MDR's. Our Friends Mark & Michelle. Miss Zen loves Miami Vice's. After a nice relaxing dinner it was off to see Burn The Floor. Miss Zen agrees! Burn The Floor was a good show and the dancing was very good. After the show we went up to Norwegian's Night Out but it was rained out at the outdoor venue(Spice H20). We were pretty tired from a day in the sun so we decided to to call it a night. When we got back to the cabin we were greeted by out towel animal. Tomorrow is Roatan, Honduras.
  13. After Howl At The Moon we decided to call it it night. I am a early riser so i was up early to watch the sunrise. I love that time of day while watching everything on the ship come to life. Below I am standing out on the balcony seeing what the day is to bring. After that I cruised around the upper decks checking things out. This bar in right by the entrance to The Vibe.
  14. We met are friends Mark and Michelle at the elevators so we could go down to dinner together, While looking up at the chandelier. Wouldn't you know that the there was a bar between us and dinner. :-). We are putting the drink package to good use already. We finally made it to The Tropicana Room. Some bad pictures of the menu. On our way to How At The Moon. Howl At The Moon is always a good time!
  15. We got back to the room to get ready for dinner but first we went out on the balcony to watch the sunset. To say the least we were not disappointed. d.
  16. After the sail away party it was time to relax and just explore a bit. I spy Miami Vices. 🙂 Time to take a look at the water slides. I am not sure what this slide is called but I call it The Elevator Drop. You stand up at the top and then the floor drops out and "Whooosh!! " down you go. What a rush! Here you get a glimpse of the walking track. I am not a fan of the layout for this. It is too short and too much congetstion. We decided to go back to room to get ready for dinner. Along the way we stopped to check out the chandelier again.
  17. It was soon time to head to the Muster Drill. We passed by the Ice Bar but unfortunately we never went there. You can tell by our expressions that it was an exciting Muster Drill. 🙂 After that was over it was back to the pool deck for the sail away party. The last we will see of Miami for 7 days! Before we knew it we were out at sea!
  18. At 2 o'clock the rooms were ready. We had and 8th floor mid ship balcony room. I can't remember the exact room number. We unpacked out luggage quickly. Looking for people boarding late. s. After unpacking we decided to check out Spice H20. Miss Zen is enjoying a vodka and cranberry. We love the relaxing atmosphere at Spice H20. I spy another painkiller. 🙂
  19. After O'Sheehan's we took a walk around the ship while waiting for the announcement that the rooms were ready. A beautiful day for sail away! Mini golf. Ropes course. Water Slides
