Good questions.

Never made a reservation for a main Theater show as a YC guest.  Always was admitted; never was questioned by a staff member at the Theater's entrance I recall a separate YC "lane";  always had plenty of YC seating in the Theater; this was aboard Meraviglia.  I did, of course, make a reservation for the Cirque show.  And, I did utilize the services of a Butler for escort and seating at that Theater.  The YC seating area was excellent!  I was in the second row on an aisle from the stage.

Drink prices?  Never was charged for any beverage that I ordered out of YC nor in the YC.  Outside of YC, the bartenders made very generous pours when they realized that you were a YC guest.

Totally agree.  Our cruise on the Meraviglia in March 2020 was awesome as we were in the YC. Anywhere we ordered a drink outside YC was "free" and the bartenders served our drinks with a smile. Being escorted to the Cirque show and seated in the front row was very nice.  The YC experience overall was worth the money.  We really enjoyed the private island and the YC experience.

Remember Arthur as one of the Maitre d's in the YC Restaurant?  Luis was the other gentleman in that position.  Both were very gracious, but Arthur was truly a memorable person.

I have enjoyed many cruises, but my MSC Meraviglia was a unique one in many ways.

Totally agree. I was trying to find my pics of Luis and Arthur....we have gone out of our way to book  the Meraviglia again. They are both amazing restaurant managers. Hopefully they will be back onboard.  Cruise is  late this fall.

Arthur Javier is on Facebook.  His mother just passed away last month in the Philippines.  I don't know whether he has rejoined Grandiosa in the Med yet.  He frequents

Since there are other posts that have been made after I made this one, I am thinking that the service we received by Arthur and Luis are exceptional in this age of cruising by gentlemen of their positions.  How many crew does one remember well because of their service in such positions during your previous cruises?

For me:  Holland America's Pulong whom I first encountered as an Assistant Maitre d' and has progressed to a DR Maitre d' and Agus and Presti who are long serving Table Captains and now, I think, are Assistant Maitre d's.

For me, each one of them made a significant difference during my cruise.  With Pulong being most recently encountered on Eurodam, January, 2020.
