vaccardi Posted February 15, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2006 Just wondering what the consensus on Lambadee was?
tp-nj Posted February 15, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 15, 2006 We enjoy the stop in Labadee. The beach is beautiful and it's very relaxing. We didn't care for Freeport too much but would definately be interested in Cuba as a port of call.
JBoshears Posted February 15, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 15, 2006 Loved Labadee both times we have been there. The jet skis are a blast. Only negative was that the beach on the far side, the swimming area was very uneven. You never knew when you would step on rocks. We did not experience this on the side closer to the ship. We will know better next time. I would be upset if we had to miss Labadee!!!!!
Cape Cruiser 2007 Posted February 15, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 15, 2006 Looking forward to Labadee-heard theres a Labadoozie (sp??) that we just have to try! But I would "settle" for Nassau!!
thegrahams6 Posted February 15, 2006 #5 Share Posted February 15, 2006 Loved Labadee, both times! So relaxing and great beach.
wrp96 Posted February 15, 2006 #6 Share Posted February 15, 2006 Labadee is a great stop! Been there twice and would gladly go back again. I've done something different each time.
hdawson Posted February 15, 2006 #7 Share Posted February 15, 2006 Loved all four of my visits to Labadee and look forward to more.
beachlady58 Posted February 15, 2006 #8 Share Posted February 15, 2006 I would take Labadee over Freeport in a minute - I like Nassau but still prefer Labadee...:)
ZZROX Posted February 15, 2006 #9 Share Posted February 15, 2006 One of the best stops on the Western route...looking forward to stopping there, when we're on the Freedom Xmas week. :D
cincicruisers Posted February 15, 2006 #10 Share Posted February 15, 2006 I like Labadee. Great Beach day. Did the wave runners last time and had a great time. Easy to get ashore and back on the ship. Shady areas/Sunny areas and plenty of chairs.. no chair hogs!
KamloopsCruisers Posted February 15, 2006 #11 Share Posted February 15, 2006 We've been fortunate to have visited Labadee four times and have always enjoyed ourselves - it really is a day in paradise. Cape Cruise 2007 - I can vouch for the "Labadoozies" - they're very, very wonderful. :D
Murphy Posted February 15, 2006 #12 Share Posted February 15, 2006 I love Labadee too, but for different reasons... everyone else gets off the ship and I have it to myself! :)
PhoenixCruiser Posted February 16, 2006 #13 Share Posted February 16, 2006 Labadee is one of our favorite stops :D ###
FinelyCruising Posted February 16, 2006 #14 Share Posted February 16, 2006 We loved it and would go back anytime, in fact we are! Gliding along the coast of Haiti/DR after pulling up anchor for the day has some of the most majestic scenery I have ever encountered. It is a beautiful stop for anyone who has never been there to look forward to seeing for sure!
cb at sea Posted February 16, 2006 #15 Share Posted February 16, 2006 One of our favorite stops. I'm not too much into the history of an island or sightseeing, so Labadee and Coco Cay are great! It's really just another "sea day" but on land and everyone can find a chair!!!!!!
benedga Posted February 16, 2006 #16 Share Posted February 16, 2006 Has anyone heard if they are on stopping because of the unrest in Haiti? We are going at end of March and I don't want to miss it.
shipknotshore Posted February 16, 2006 #17 Share Posted February 16, 2006 We really had a nice day at the beach in Labadee. The water was really warm and the beach was clean. The "labadoozies" were VERY good. The BBQ lunch that RCI provided was good and plentiful. Didn't much care for the market - but I was pre-warned about the vendors being a bit pushy from "cruise critic" so I knew what was going to happen. I'd go back to Labadee anytime.
