BallFour4 Posted February 18, 2022 #3 Share Posted February 18, 2022 Go the Port of Galveston website and download the master plan. While it was written pre-Covid it's amazing as to what is happening down here. Galveston is rich in history, the infrastructure of hotels, ships provisioning and we friendly Texans make the difference. https://www.portofgalveston.com/221/Strategic-Master-Plan . longhorn2004 Posted March 31, 2022 #6 Share Posted March 31, 2022 (edited) Thank you Host Kat, can't wait to use the new port in December. With a 1500 car parking lot next door there is no need to use the out of the way parking companies. Can imagine the arguments over that decision. CarolSW Posted April 4, 2022 #7 Share Posted April 4, 2022 (edited) Was sooooo excited to see the progress on the new RCCL terminal this past weekend!! I had my doubts last summer when we were 18 months out from the Allure OTS making a home in Galveston, and it did not look as if ANYthing had happened yet. NOW you can see it rising from the pier, and it already looks wonderful! This is NOT a great photo, was shooting from Harborside Dr. in a moving car last night, but it got me pumped about what’s coming, and hope you can feel it too! Second photo is the artist’s rendering from the link posted in @HostKat’s post above. Lane Hog Posted April 5, 2022 #8 Share Posted April 5, 2022 It looked pretty good from the water-side a month ago. Parking lot has a long way to go, though.
