Celebrity Silhouette capacity

We are thinking of booking a staycation cruise on Celebrity Silouette in September and were wondering if anyone knows what capacity the ship is running at? We can't seem to find a definitive answer anywhere on the internet at the moment. We were lucky enough to have sailed on the MSC Virtousa in June when the capacity was very low and it was fantastic. We looked at the Virtuosa again for September but recently we looked at reviews and people have been complaining that the capacity has been increased and it is massively overcrowded now. It would be good to know if anyone has been on the Silhouette over the last couple of weeks and how they felt about getting a sunbed or a space in a hot tub in the day or in a bar for a drink at night? Or if anyone knows of the capacity at the moment or any plans to increase the capacity in the near future?

Thanks

Silhouette will never be as crowded as Virtuosa or other MSC ships, even at full capacity, She has a much better space to passenger ratio.

Someone on our M&M wrote that there were 1000 passengers on their 14/8 cruise.

If you look on the roll call of the cruise going out this weekend it does state it from the pilots report. 1341 comes to mind but you have a look!  Who knows if it will increase? The suites and Aqua are booked out on many cruises. Must be loads of space in the MDR.

Never been on MSC but am told the yacht club is great but the ship s are very busy (the quote was a zoo). Other than the initial buffet on boarding the ships never appear too busy except after the show.

Capacity has been increased gradually since restrictions were lifted on July 19.

Our cruise was full, then it opened up for sale again.

We were talking to someone on 06/08/21 sailing and they had only booked 2 weeks previously.

We were told on 07/08/21 that providing you were fully vaccinated you could go off the ship independently, yet just 4 days previously we had an email to confirm that the only way to get off the ship was to book ships tours.

My point is, everything is changing almost daily.

One advantage was there was very little waiting for lifts.

That's great, thanks. We had never cruised with MSC either, we only really did it because we couldn't get abroad easily at the time and there was a good offer on the ship. To be honest two of the main reasons we loved it was because it was a brand new ship and there were only 500 people on board (on day 5 that increased to 1000). There was loads of space onboard and we had the run of the pools, hot tubs, restaurants, bars etc. And there were twice as many staff on board compared to passengers so the service was great most of the time because staff had time to serve you and have a chat. I remember asking them if they were happy and most of them said they wanted things to be busier, I wonder if they still feel the same now? We knew as soon as the capacity went up that it would be a different story though, it seemed like it was getting about half full out on deck when the 1000 people were on board so wouldn't like to think what it would be like with the full 6000 people on board in the future.
