According the RC's excursion folk, Spanish ports are currently requiring Ship-sponsored, escorted excursions, so I doubt it. 😕

They weren't on NCL a few weeks ago. Italy was; in Spain we could do whatever we wanted.

Blue Bus is just a Shuttle Bus not an excursion.  Not sure if it makes a difference.  Would like to know if it is running as well.  We plan on using in for pre-cruse transport

True, but how can a shuttle bus run from the cruises if it's a requirement to take a cruise excursion to leave the ship?  (And that's a big If.  I am basing my comments on the info from the RC excursion support team.  You'd think that'd be reliable, but it's not unheard of for the info from cruise support to be erroneous...)

Spain, unlike Italy, does NOT have a requirement to be on a ship excursion. I'm not sure where RC is getting that info.

I agree.  I have not seen any info regarding ship only excursions in Spain.  We are embarking in Barcelona and would like to use the Blue Bus shuttle.  Guess we will just wing it!  LOL  Can always call a taxi

I'm planning to do Barcelona independently - what's the best way to get into town from the ship?

I found this article about the 'Blue Bus' cruise port shuttle bus. Is it running at the moment?

https://www.barcelona-tourist-guide.com/en/faq/cruise-ship-terminals/shuttle-bus-barcelona-cruise-terminal.html

I was looking at the HOHO blue route! https://www.barcelonabusturistic.cat/en/blue-route

Thanks.
