CSO Expiration and Testing

Is the testing requirement part of the Conditional Sail Order? If so will the testing requirement go away when the CSO expires on Jan 15?

I think it will be at the cruise lines discretion. And I assume they’ll continue testing even without the requirement.

Yes the testing requirement is part of the CSO. However, given the current state of things with the 'omicron' panic that is happening, and the recent 'COVID Outbreak on a cruise ship heading for NOLA', I wouldn't count on things easing up at all. IF the CDC doesn't extend the CSO like they said they wouldn't, I would still expect that cruise lines will still be hyper vigilant... the last thing any of the lines need is negative publicity as soon as the CDC loosens their reigns.

Well said.  Heald said testing will go on until Late March.  Which makes sense given that the 50 yr Sailabration will have very full ships in early March.

As much as I wish it would go away you can bet the farm that testing will continue and maybe even expand to one time on board mid cruise as well ......
