kendon Posted February 24, 2006 #26 Share Posted February 24, 2006 I think the Caribbean menu is a nice change and creative. We look forward to it.
Dreamer333 Posted February 24, 2006 #27 Share Posted February 24, 2006 thanks for the link, I think it sounds great! We're booked in for Anytime Dining...I assume the menu is all the same right? Can you tell we've never cruised before?:) Yep, the menus are the same in the anytime dining and in traditional dining rooms!
whale-watcher Posted February 25, 2006 #28 Share Posted February 25, 2006 This was one of our favorite menus, but we love seafood, veggies, and different and exotic spices. Never once ordered steak on a cruise...
SF Posted February 25, 2006 #29 Share Posted February 25, 2006 Can anyone who's had the roasted rack of pork on the Caribbean Night Menu tell me if it's real spicy? Is it just sliced pork and what kind of sauce is Arajwaks? We're now thinking of trying the Caribbean Night menu this time and going to Sterlings on the first formal night instead as between the two menus the Captain's Welcome Aboard Menu appeals to us the least. 2good2b Posted February 25, 2006 #30 Share Posted February 25, 2006 I have never experienced Caribbean Night on the Sun, but I have on other Princess ships, and while I certainly have never found anything to complain about in regards to the food, I would say that Caribbean night is my least favorite. (Here is the link to the caribbean night menu on the CB: http://www.cruisingthecaribbeanprincess.com/caribnightA.html ) Thanks for posting the menu...I didn't know you could find these on line.:p
sunflower1972 Posted February 25, 2006 Author #31 Share Posted February 25, 2006 I just had the pork on the Sun Princess about 2 weeks ago. It was great. Not spicy, but very tasty and moist. The DH had the blackened chicken and it was not too spicy but tasty. Was one of our favorite meals!!! The sauce on the pork was fairly light, very good. I think the menu has changed a bit since the one posted on this thread....or different ships may have different dishes I guess as well:) The pork was sliced with the bone in place still. Have a great trip!!

SF Posted February 25, 2006 #33 Share Posted February 25, 2006 sunflower1972: Thanks so much for filling me in about the pork dish. Looks like that's what I'll be ordering if we choose to do the Caribbean Menu instead of Sterlings. We're thinking about trying this menu again as so many people have had favorable comments. craftinmom Posted February 26, 2006 #34 Share Posted February 26, 2006 Exactly what it says. Those items on the menu, are always available during dinner. Such as alfredo or shrimp cocktail--you can have them everynight if your little heart desires. oh...duh! I feel silly!! :o)
mafig Posted February 26, 2006 #35 Share Posted February 26, 2006 What's going on in Cafe Caribe on Caribbean Night? Do they serve the same items as the restaurants, or is it something different?
MrsFops&FopsC5 Posted February 26, 2006 #36 Share Posted February 26, 2006 We were on the CB twice in 05. Both times it was German night in Cafe Caribe. We opted for Sterlings and were not disappointed.
