What did they do when they cancelled cruises before?

Recommended Posts

I know that circumstances are different, but with an upcoming cruise, I'm curious.  Someone enlighten me.  When they cancelled cruises in the past, what was the protocol?  Did they offer refunds? Future cruise credits? Were there options?  I suspect it was discussed exhaustively, but since I didn't have anything booked, I never really paid attention.

Yea and yes along with some potential price protected alternatives. In the COVID era they added Lift and Shift and 125% FCC.

I opted for the 125% FCC a few times.

NEVER AGAIN! The fuzzy math and months waiting for the FCC is just not worth it.

It'll be VISA credits from now on.

I only got 1 rcl fcc. They changed the rules at least 5 times on how fccs could be used. For a while they were so difficult I opted for refunds. Now they allow stacking but deposit is paid by credit card. Still hard to use them up. (One got split, so now 2).

Cash is easier to spend.
