Florence hotel recommendations?

My husband and I want to spend three nights in Florence prior to our transatlantic in November.  We're looking for a hotel that's centrally located, ie walking distance to the main attractions, is refundable, includes breakfast, and would like to keep it under about $200-250/night.  I've looked through these forums and spent some time on TripAdvisor but even after narrowing it down there are a lot of choices, and each time I see one I like, I read reviews that say "couldn't sleep because of street noise" or "this place has gone downhill". etc.  Since we haven't been to Florence before we'd love some guidance from you experts, please.  Thanks!!

Stayed here for business meetings.  It was a delightful hotel centrally placed and found it hard to find fault.  Could be considered?

Thank you, Port Royal.  The hotel looks lovely and I've contacted them to ask a couple of questions.  A definite possibility!

Think one knows what room number you’re going for.  Purchase a bottle of local wine, sit, look, sigh, sip and who said romance was dead. 😉
