We met outside of the Vista Lounge in the rear of the ship . From there we went down a flight of stairs and into the Amalfi Dining and the Chefs Table where we were seated .

Susan and Nickoli were very conscientious , considerate and professional and were our favorite servers . We're concerned for Nickoli and his family as he is from Moldova which is bordered by Romania and the Ukraine .

We switched to our bathing suits and stored the rest in a locker

The bathrobes were much more comfortable than the scratchy ones in the room but the shower shoes are still tiny

The orange wrist strap I wore and the blue card to open the locker went in the robe's pocket

We would be celebrating our 44th anniversary at Sabatini's which was also a second formal day for the ship . We seemed to be ignored as we were waiting to be seated - even with a cold bottle of a 2008 Dom Perignon under my arm . We're not sure why seating for 2  took so long since the place wasn't crowded but a table was found and bread made it to the table . When I requested that the bottle be opened they was another delay . I don't think that the server had much experience opening wine . I had brought a special cork to retain the bubbles and the server and the cork disappeared after placing our order .

The staff seemed to be overwhelmed or short for dinner and we seemed to be a pariah for the evening . The lamb skewers were tough and chewy and after not seeing our server for a while I requested that she please recap our champagne as it was losing it's fizz fast . She couldn't find our cap but she was looking for it . Pat's Risotto was OK but nothing special .

For a main course Pat had a Veal Marsala and I had ordered the Trattoria Baked Trio . About 15 minutes later the champagne cap was found as the manager had it . In another 15 minutes Pat had her veal and once again - nothing special .

In about 30 minutes my main arrived with a side order of spaghetti which I like with the Chicken Parmesan . It also included 3 cheese ziti and Lasagne .

The ziti had a white sauce that I found to be both salty and bland . The chicken wasn't a breast that I'm used to seeing but pieces of left over chicken and limp spinach . The Lasagne had a nice crust of Parmesan and Mozzarella but the Bolognese was ordinary and there was no ricotta or meat  and just 1 single noodle - no layers .

Pat did enjoy her desert

1448522833_DSC05443(2).thumb.JPG.aa31d6bd67276016f46b5ce5c6d0737b.JPG

About the time that I received my main course . One of the junior ship's officers showed with a bottle and they had a special table set apart from the others in the dining room . A second and a third group arrived with their own bottles also and we watched as they were treated as VIP's that they are .

You were actually served your entrees 15 minutes apart??? When this happens to us at sea or on land, and it has happened on both Holland America and Princess, we do not accept the first one.  We ask them to take it back and bring them both together.  When they do bring them back and it appears that the first one has simply "aged" instead of preparing a new one, we thank them, get up and walk out...

Did you have a 10 day pass for the Enclave or did you manage to get a day pass? We always have wanted to try the Enclave but feel we would never have time to use it every day.

We were comped a day pass . If we were doing a TA , a Baltic or a Northern European we might , and have used in the past , the Spa for the length of the cruise .

So how did you get comped a day pass? Yes, for sure we would do it on a TA but we don't see finding the time for it otherwise

A poor choice of words on my part . We were given gifts and credits before and during the cruise . Sorry

As we are nearing the end of the cruise I wanted to return to the first morning before Princess Cay . I took my camera and headed for a walk beginning on deck 7 in the Aft .

Walking the halls

I like that Princess uses passenger's photos in the halls and we recognized the place in the photo as soon as we saw it . I wonder if I should enter some of our photos ?
