hotels in Texas City and transportation to cruise terminal

I am looking for hotel recommendations for Texas city for Sept 17, 2022. We will also require transportation to the cruise terminal. There will be 3 adults and 1 child. 

Is Texas City the best place to stay other than right in Galveston

You will need Uber/Lyft or taxi.  Hotels off island do not provide transportation to Port or island.

Staying in Texas City is a matter of cost as there is nothing there.

Go back up the road to the Webster/NASA area about 15 or so miles and there are a plethora of hotels, shops and restaurants available plus with the larger population easier to get transportation to the port.  We always stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Webster which is very close to the shopping mall and restaurants.  It is 29 miles to the port.
