The wording now states that this benefit "cannot be used for casino credits/charges and gratuities charged to your onboard account." 

 

I know what everyone has done in the past and on THEIR cruise, but I wonder how this will change things in the future.

I think it has said that for a long time, but it is not followed. There are charges on your folio and the credits including the shareholder's credit counterbalance all charges.
