How to split on-board expenses?

My adult son will be in our stateroom.  My wife doesn't drink so the deluxe alcohol package wouldn't make sense since all three of us would have to buy it.  He's a young guy and drinks/spends more than me, and has a good job.  So my question is this; from my last cruise years ago I remember charging everything to your room and paying at the end with the credit card on file.  While my son can certainly just reimburse me at the end, is there anyway for him to get a separate account for bar expenses?  Or do they accept personal credit cards at bars/stores on the ship?

Everyone has a different account number. You can see the charges per person on the TV and on your final statement.

When completing on line check in, he can set up his on board account with his own form of payment.  He doesn’t have to use yours.

Hey, not weighing in on that!  I’m not a spender.  We did a week on Harmony with out 2 adult offspring & the bill for the trip was $49.97🤷‍♀️

15yrs everything I charged went on my Acct and everything my Wife Charged went on My Acct

Also, once on the ship, he should be able to buy the DBP just for him without you and your wife having to buy it.  We did this for our granddaughter on her 21st birthday cruise.  My wife and I knew we'd not drink enough to make it worthwhile.

...and then perhaps allow for the cost of a divorce attorney on your account!  😄  (I'm pretty sure I would have to!)

My wife can't drink due to medicine she is on and I have always been able to call in advance and purchase DBP for myself and refreshment package for her. Coffee , fresh squeezed OJ and mock-tails always make this a good deal for her.
