Great to hear this!
About how long was the trip once you left the airport?

It was last year but if I remember tight it was about 3 -3 1/2 hours. Once you hit the outskirts of Vancouver you hit traffic and really crawl

I took a transfer last year after an alaskan sampler cruise that started in Seattle and ended in Vancouver.  I had driven to Seattle (from Portland) and parked my car at an airport lot.  I booked the Princess transfer (although I've done quick shuttle and amtrak in the past).  The Princess transfer was about $76 per person and is pretty straight forward from the Vancouver cruise terminal.  The documents say it will take 4-6 hours, and that's probably true.  Although the distance isn't long, recall that you will have to wait to have a full or nearly full bus and then after some departure checks you'll be on your way.  There is no "freeway" from downtown vancouver to the border crossing that the buses will take so factor in about 40 minutes to get to the border.  If you are lucky, the line will be short and you'll be waved through.  If you are less lucky you'll sit in the customs lot for 15-30 minutes waiting for clearance.  If you left any scrap of luck in the casino, everyone has to get off the bus and go through screening inside the customs facility.  There is no rhyme or reason to this.  From there, its a pretty uneventful ride to Seatac (Seattle's airport), the bus driver may or may not stop at a rest stop, so if you're leery about bus bathrooms, prepare to hold it.  You'll likely hit midday traffic in Seattle.  When the bus finally makes it to Seatac, you'll have to wait a few minutes for the driver to unload all the luggage.

So for me, I got off the ship at 8:00am and didn't get to Seatac until just before 1pm.

So would I do it again?  Probably not.  If I'm forced to sit around and be limited in what I can do for 4-6 hours I'd rather be at an airport where at least I can walk around.  Granted, due to flight schedules, you might not be able to get a flight before noon at YVR if booked with EZair and you get a double security check there as well (airport screening and USCBP).  It's unfortunate but it ends up being a big wash in many cases.

I've taken quick shuttle and it was good, similar to Princess.  It can have a stop at Bellingham Airport and downtown Seattle so that can add to the travel time.

I've taken amtrak and the train is a great way to go (half is very scenic) except for the schedule -the trains depart in early morning and early evening.  Their coach service is similar to the Princess transfer but you've got an extra hurdle to get to the amtrak station (which is only a few stops on skytrain).

If it were me, I'd just fly home from YVR.  Why add a bunch of extra steps unless the cost is significant.
