Note re: possible minor problem with Abbot/eMed tests

So we ordered three test kits and the last one that we used, our daughters, was missing the sample collection plate 😭 We brought it over 4,000 miles to Rome and now we have to scramble around tomorrow to go to the local pharmacy. Emed offered to send a replacement test to our home. 😕 The show must go on …

Are we talking about proctored tests here?  How many steps are there?

Couple thoughts.  The US or Canada will provide 8 tests for free.  Travelling without a few today is possibly not a good idea.

There are at last search some 140 companies that do proctoring.  Cost ranges from $5 to $50.  (Strange but true)  Most companies will use ANY government approved test.  They do not care or need to ever know where you are when you test.  Also Rapid Test takes your details on the phoneor computer etc .  No app.

Thus we will bring a pack of 8 tests to Iceland.  

Procedures vary but Rapid Test is you call them.  They set up a call using Zoom or Google Teams and observe you opening and doing a test.  They then email you the result.  Several companies discount if more than one test in a session.  Takes about 10-15 minutes and requires good WIFI.
