Brandis Posted February 28, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 28, 2006 I received a postcard from RCCL, saying that I should mark April 27 & 28 on my calendar as I would be invited to attend the presentation of Freedom in Hamburg. Detailed informations to follow in a letter. I guess this invitation was only sent to European C&A members. Anyone else here received such a invitation? GMoney Posted February 28, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 28, 2006 Marc - RCI is in the process of inviting select TAs, VIPs, Diamond Plus on promo cruises for Freedom. Can I trade you my NY for your Hamburg?? :D BTW, where in Switzerland are you? I spent 2 weeks there last July and loved it. I'm coming back this July, but it's really interfering with my cruising! :)
ebrener Posted February 28, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 28, 2006 Very cool! I'm invited to a 2-night cruise to nowhere May 29th out of Miami! Can't be any more excited about it! Regards, Enrique *****
Brandis Posted February 28, 2006 Author #5 Share Posted February 28, 2006 Funny thing is we only got platinum status on our last cruise. But in some german forum I read a news release from RCCL Germany, that they were thinking about doing some kind of lottery for this, so I guess I was lucky. I don't know any details yet, so I don't know if we actually will be able to board, if we can stay on board overnight and/or if the ship will stay at the pier or sail some distance down the river Elbe and back. I live in Zurich, which is in the german speaking part of Switzerland. Though, RCL always sends us the french C&A magazine and when I complain, they resend me a german one but next time it's back to french again. :-) Oh well, they still accept the coupons, even if they are in french. GMoney Posted February 28, 2006 #6 Share Posted February 28, 2006 Well keep us updated as you find out more. I loved Zurich - a lot more than Geneva (which was still very nice). I'd move there in a second if I could get a job! I'm a hiking nut so I really enjoyed the Interlaken area and Zermatt. I bet the country is beautiful in winter. Brandis Posted February 28, 2006 Author #7 Share Posted February 28, 2006 Nah, way too cold. I would move to Florida any time in winter (and doing cruises in summer to get away from the FL heat...) :-)

wrp96 Posted March 1, 2006 #10 Share Posted March 1, 2006 There is a poster named Madforcruising that got an invitation. He told us about it over a week ago. I tried to get a plane ticket to join him but I couldn't swing it.
