Does anyone know if the washing machines take money or do you use your medallion.

You purchase tokens with your medallion from a vending machine (if working).

That is correct. You purchase tokens using your medallion in the laundry room, but sometimes the token dispensers are either out of tokens or they are broken. An alternate to can go to the customer service desk and purchase them with your medallion.

Pro-Tip - get your tokens earlier if you "know" you will be doing a load during the cruise.

Agree with Voljeep. Purchase the tokens beforehand because sometimes the machine breaks or runs out of tokens.
