HAL cruise docks in Barcelona at 12 noon with overnight disembark time at 5am the next morning. Can I leave the ship earlier then 5am the next day? Say I wanted to leave at 4am for an earlier flight. Is that possible?

I agree with@kangforpres. We've done it numerous times, however he is correct - be sure and inform guest services and be prepared to schlepp your own bags - and make sure you feel comfortable that taxis, or ride share vehicles are available for your transport - more important in foreign ports than US ports IMO.

The ship has met all immigration and customs issues when you docked at noon. So you can leave any time after noon the day you arrive. Yes, you will likely need to carry your bags off if you leave before the "scheduled " disembarkation.
