OBC>Shore excursions?

Given $50 OBC as part of cruise package, can we use it towards an Excursion?

If it shows in your Cruise Personalizer, then you can apply it to booking a Shore Excursion in advance. Most OBC offered by Princess shows in advance. Some OBC offered by travel agents does not show until onboard and cannot be used in advance.

We have done so twice. Once in May and once for upcoming September cruise. I went online to book an excursion and it was automatic to use OBC.

My experience:  I had some OBC for a recent cruise.  When I went to book an excursion it defaulted to using the OBC but if you slow down and look carefully before you "purchase" there should be a box that you can un-check if you do NOT want the OBC to be used for some reason.
