lightsleeper Posted July 25, 2022 #1 Share Posted July 25, 2022 Hi All We are new to Oceania and will be sailing in a concierge cabin on the Sirena. Can anyone tell me where or how to make a bedding choice of twin beds Thanks
Rare mauibabes Posted July 25, 2022 #2 Share Posted July 25, 2022 Easy peasy, Just ask your TA to request twin beds for you. If no TA involved, just call Oceania and ask a Rep to note it in your reservation. If you have Pillow preferences or Down Comforter optio or other needs, especially dietary, just ask. Enjoy your cruise, Mauibabes
babysteps Posted July 26, 2022 #3 Share Posted July 26, 2022 And if on boarding you discover the bed not separated into twins, just ask you cabin steward to make it so.
Mura Posted July 26, 2022 #4 Share Posted July 26, 2022 Yep! There are plenty of people sailing together who don't really want to sleep together! With concierge booking, there is no problem. People who are in a top suite (Oceania and above on the "O" and Vista ships) have king beds and my understanding is that these cannot be separated. zoncom Posted July 28, 2022 #5 Share Posted July 28, 2022 On other O ships the mattress has a softer and a firmer side. Ask steward to flip it if you prefer alternate side.
SombraDeLuna Posted July 28, 2022 #6 Share Posted July 28, 2022 If, by chance, you arrive and find the duvet hasn't been made up according to your request, just talk with your steward about it. We always say "it can wait until tomorrow" (knowing how busy they are on the first day). We always find the standard set up of the duvet to be too hot. Didn't know about the different sides of the mattress -- thanks for that tid bit!

Interesting, learn something new some days.
Rare mauibabes Posted July 28, 2022 #8 Share Posted July 28, 2022 I was not aware of this either and we have shared a lot of Oceania beds, even in Suites. What surprises me is we have two Oceania beds in our home and the instructions don’t suggest flipping the mattress and the quilted topper suggests there is NO flipping option. Anyone with Oceania mattresses heard about flipping them for a firm or soft side? Mauibabes
EEB_Ott Posted August 4, 2022 #9 Share Posted August 4, 2022 Very interesting post! We find standard duvets too warm as well. Can anyone tell me if there's a list of bedding options on the website?
Rare mauibabes Posted August 5, 2022 #10 Share Posted August 5, 2022 I don’t know about anything on the website but all you need to do is tell your TA or Oceania Specialist about your needs prior to sailing. If you get aboard and you need bedding changes of any kind, just ask your Room Steward or Butler and it will be done. Mauibabes
