MyVegas Other Sailings Possible?

Hello all.

I've been learning more about MSC, and hoping to eventually book a free cruise through MyVegas.

I've seen that a lot of people have been able to book better rooms and options than what's stipulated in the T&C.

Has anyone either tried, or been able to book a different cruise other than the one they purchased through the voucher? Have you been able to either sail at a different date, or on a different ship from a different embarkation port?

The 30% discount voucher also states that it's only on ships leaving from port Canaveral and Miami. Has anyone tried to apply this discount to ships leaving from any other port?

MSC has ships leaving from the Northeast, where I'm located, and it would be amazing to not have to tack on airfare and a hotel to a "free" cruise.

Thanks!

In the 6 years I have been taking the comp cruises I have never heard of anyone getting anything other than what was stated for the specific reward. When you call to book and give them the reward confirmation number they automatically know what cruise you got. The comp rewards are offered to fill specific ships for certain dates usually during off peak times.

I know of people who got the reward and by the time they called to book there were no cabins left. No offer to change dates or ships or itineraries just a refund of gold.

I have never used the 30% off so can't speak to that.

I wonder if in some cases using the 30% offer with only 200,000 points may be better. It appears they always offer this. This way you get to pick the cruise you want if available of course.   For example I chose the yacht club interior and the casino concierge guy worked with me and I got the current offer which included onboard credit and also the double points, $50 obc per person, and the 5%  voyager discount. If you do a free cruise you get a balcony cabin which is wonderful but you still have to pay the price for the upgraded drink package and for Wi-Fi. Has anyone ever done the math if msc is offering their balcony/wifi offer?  Plus you can upgrade. Also the next day after I booked  I did get a  offer to bid for a YC balcony cabin. Of course either way you still have to pay for port charges/taxes and dailt Service charge. I do check every day to see if any additional free cruises are being offered though.

That's really great to know that the flexibility offered with the 30% of voucher offers more flexibility

It would be really fun to try the Yacht Club option. With 30% off, the amenities offered in the YC can't be beat (I would think).

Unfortunately, they still only allow you to use the voucher on cruises sailing from miami and port canaveral.

Today I found a lot of cruises offered by RCI  through myvegas apps!  Maybe MSC will be next!!!  It has been awhile.

It's possible, but MSC doesn't currently show as a MyVegas partner.  RCCL has shown as a partner all along.

They had a bunch of different cruise a few months ago for August and September sailings . I was able to get a free 7 night cruise on the Divina on Sept.4th. Since September I haven't seen any thing. I hope that they add more later this year or early next year.

I was lucky enough to snag a cruise for Divina for last August too. MSC had been in the past, they surprise us here and there, same as NCL & Carnival (who is long overdue). Royal seems to be the most frequent. I got impatient, and booked MSC for May. I did manage a 30% out of the casino, I'll take it.

When you receive a 30% casino discount, is that good on any MSC sailing or in the USA only?  MyVegas had a 30% discount certificate available for a while, but it was only valid on USA sailings, and while we are in the U.S., most of our MSC cruises are out of Europe.

Based on previous years MSC usually offered last minute Nov-Dec cruises and every year I cant get one because I work retail and can't get time off.

Sailed Seashore in August and am keeping watch for next year's offers.

Even if I could take time off I'm not

paying those RC highway robbery

gold prices lol.

The certificate I have doesn't specify and I booked a cruise out of New York, so I don't have the answer.
