Is/was there any indication of upcoming changes? We're boarding journey in Athens on 13th July. I'd previously read that CD Darren L is on until August.

I think Captain Dario goes on holiday early July and is then heading to Quest

Eric de Gray has posted he is moving to Pursuit in September for two years. He also indicated the Captains will be Carl and Michael with Ryzard and Tony as Hotel Directors so musical chairs is happening again

But it sounds like some stability, if two Captains and two HDs will alternate.  Better than moving them around the entire fleet.  And Pursuit was always Carl's real love – his first ship, and his first renovation for Azamara.

I think Journey was Capt Carl’s first Azamara ship.  We sailed in January 2008 on Capt Carl’s second cruise (Valparaiso to Buenos Aires by way of Antarctica)

IIRC what he told us on his 'farewell' cruise on Quest (as he was heading to Belfast to supervise the Pursuit refit), Pursuit was his first ship as a Captain when it was still part of Princess.

That’s very possible.  Pursuit was formerly the Royal Princess and first sailed in April 2007 under Princess.  Azamara Journey’s first sail was in December 2007.  So Captain Carl may have been indeed been on the Royal Princess from April through December 2007.

Captain G came after surgery. No idea who replace Iwan. Housekeeping could be anyone. Sooria there now..

We stayed on for the Iceland Intensive after Norway. Staff Captain changed to James Peter Brennan, but the rest are the same.

Yes there is to be a lot of changes, I have it from good sources that due to guest requests the Senior Officers will be again posted online but I wasn't given a date for that to happen.  Must be a scheduling nightmare for them.

Really sorry to hear Eric is moving. We’re returning to Onward Sept 3 and were really looking forward to seeing him again, onstage and off.

On the next Journey cruise, 20-31 August, Athens to Athens, the senior officers are the same--- except that Stephen Millet is now the Cruise Director, Darren, having departed today for home.
