Smoking on board in open areas … what ships accommodate this?

Hi everyone .. so my hubby is a smoker and likes to sit with his drink and enjoy a smoke in the open air. Escape has two perfect area - Waves Bar and Spice H20. What other ships have similar areas? Do we know what Prima and Viva will have?

And please, no cigarettes in the cigar lounge (if there is one).  I am a cigar smoker and it really becomes a nuisance when cigarette smokers are coming in and out to take a quick drag or two.  There are signs posted that no cigarettes are allowed, but no one cares.  We cigar smokers are just as limited in the area (we lose the casino), and when we smoke a cigar, it is quite often an hour event or more.  Please let us have the respite from the constant in and outs.  I personally have no issue if a spouse/SO comes in with their party to have a cigarette, but the folks who come in and cloud up the room should be a little more courteous.  And I am expecting some nasty comments based upon my views, but they are legit and I am married to a cigarette smoker and she agrees with me.

Several of the newer ships have a Haven smoking area. Loungers and chairs available in an outdoor area way in the bow of the sundeck area.

Plenty of room and a lovely view.  People around asking if you need anything food or drink.

Even on the Breakaway class, the Haven area does have a smoking area in the very front of the ship.

I was on Bliss last month only area is SpiceH2O which is partly covered so if iraining you’re not getting soaked, it’s a mere few steps to the bar and in the morning from 6am-9am they set up a self serve coffee station. Plenty of seats and ash buckets

My hubby is also a smoker. We're considering Escape for January. Just wondering about embarkation and debarkation days? Any issues with finding a place to smoke while the ship is refueling?

Breakaway and getaway also have Spice H2O

No smoking anywhere on the ship during refueling, but it doesn't take long, two hours or so.

I am married to a cigar smoker but do not smoke my self and I totally agree with you !!
