Rapid NAAT Test

We will be sailing October 7 on the QM2 out of Brooklyn.  If the testing policies effective September 6 hold, we will need to do a monitored/proctored test prior to embarkation.  In one section of the website, an antigen test is specified if fully vaccinated.  In another section, it lists a NAAT test as an acceptable option.  We can easily get a rapid NAAT test.  Does anyone have experience using a NAAT test to fulfill the testing requirement?

We live in Brooklyn and are sailing on September 23rd on the QM2 and have our test all set up.

 

Also will be sailing out of Brooklyn Cruise Terminal.

 

We will be doing antigen test that is monitored/proctored two days before (21st) for our travel certificate of negative reading with a Canadian Company.

 

We checked with Cunard themselves to our needs and proceed to book the test. We also have ArriveCan app in progress.

I used a Rapid NAAT test for my May EB.

We will be on the same cruise (October 7) which bring us back home to Germany.

 

I think I have organized everything for our NY stay but I am really anxious about those tests. Hope we will not need them regarding to the new politics which may come. But I have also read that if you go TA you will always need a test. Let´s wait and see.

 

Can you help me what do to when we are in NY?
