Rare RCLcruiser2012 Posted October 25, 2022 #1 Share Posted October 25, 2022 We have cruised on RCL, Carnival, and NCL. RCL is my favorite cruiseline! The reviews are so mixed.... Hoping for the best
KINGBOBOFTHENORTH Posted October 25, 2022 #2 Share Posted October 25, 2022 I took this cruise in September and am going to repeat it in November. It was fun. Relax.
Fla Mike Posted October 25, 2022 #3 Share Posted October 25, 2022 As long as you don't expect a "Coco Cay Of The Seas" experience, you'll be good to go.

Just remember that the ship is 30+ years old, does not have all the bells and whistles that you may be accustomed to.
Rothko1 Posted November 7, 2022 #7 Share Posted November 7, 2022 Yeah, just keep your expectations where they should be. This is not a luxury cruise liner. But if you are looking for a laid back trip over to the Bahamas, you should enjoy it.
Breezie68 Posted November 9, 2022 #8 Share Posted November 9, 2022 I just got back yesterday from this cruise. Think Carnival Ecxtasy circa 1990. It was fun, and the energy was great. I just got off the Oasis before I boarded Margaritaville, and honestly, the food on Margaritaville was Better! My husband loved it! Rooms were cute. Just an old old ship with no stabilizers, so you def feel it moving.

We got off last Wednesday too. Second trip on this ship. Everything was fine. Spent the port day at the mini festival marketplace over where Royal Caribbean's ship was docked. Lots of shops and Señor Frog's.
Brighton Line Posted January 4, 2023 #12 Share Posted January 4, 2023 The ship has stabilizers, look at any closeup picture of the side and the required markings for them are on her hull midships.
aeraen Posted January 7, 2023 #13 Share Posted January 7, 2023 I just signed up for one. I figured if I don't like it, it's just two nights out of my life.

It definitely does have stabilizers, but my understanding is that in general with most cruise lines, they're used only in heavy seas .. not moderately choppy ones. The reason being that they add to the fuel consumption.
