Yes and I believe it is actually 48 hours. I did this last week...reserved it on Tuesday evening and got the final email to make a deposit on Friday morning.

Did you book thru NCL Directly? If the price goes down can you get the cheaper price?

If you're before final payment is due (120 days pre-cruise) you can cancel/rebook at no penalty.  After that point, I only know what people have shared on here, which is that it varies but generally OBC at best.

Of course.  You would just let the hold lapse and rebook.

If you use an NCL PCC and there is a price drop before Final Payment they usually don't even bother to cancel and re-book, just in case someone jumps in front of them and books "your" cabin, they just do a re-fare.

That has been my experience as well.
