Flat irons and/or curling irons

Are you allowed to take your flat irons or curling irons on the ship?  What about a steaming iron?  Thank you.

Yes to hair appliance, NO to clothes iron or steamer.

We took our clothes steamer on Symphony recently. I think it passed as it looks like a hair dryer and handle folded as well. It worked wonderfully and was very convenient:

But, they are dangerous and not permitted.  Because it was passed over once doesn't make it permitted.
