How soon before your cruise do Royal Up bids start?

We have a cruise booked for Feb. 26th. I am considering bidding for an upgraded cabin. How soon does the bid process open before the cruise departs?

Just go to https://www.royalcaribbean.com/booked/cruise-room-upgrade

Input your last name and reservation number. If you're eligible the selections will appear.

 

You should also get an email regarding your eligibility with the link. Not everyone will be eligible.

I tried the link earlier and it would not work. Someone suggested it might be too early for my sailing which is why I asked.

 

I will not get the email because I have opted out of their promotional emails, I was getting waaay too many.

Ahh, well in my limited experience and from reading here, it appears there is no hard and fast rule. I'd just check the link every week or so. Good Luck 🙂

There's no need to bid when it opens - win decisions are rarely taken more than 30 days out.

On my past 3 cruises, I have gotten the email and been able to bid 90 days prior to my sailing.

 

Agreed there is no urgency to bid, but I liked knowing what it would cost for the bids.

 

I didn't win any.

Some TAs don’t do Royal Up.  One example is the big box TA that rhymes with Frostco.  They don’t allow RoyalUp.

We're on the Harmony Feb 26th and our bidding opened up a couple weeks ago. I've yet to figure out how they determine when to open it up as it's been different on every cruise.
