Cruising from Galveston T

Cruising this April from Galveston for the first time, any suggestions on transportation from Houston?

We used Uber. Easy peasy.

Are you going straight from Houston airport to the ship, or staying in a Houston hotel the night before, or staying in Galveston the night before?

 

Airport to ship there are shuttles available, same with ship to airport. If traveling to/from a hotel book your own transportation on Uber/Lyft.

I just called and asked how much a cruise transfer from ship to William Hobby Airport is and I was told it's $31.99 a person.  That seems reasonable.  We have never used a cruise transfer before.  I'm going to check into other shuttles or cars too.

Via the cruise line? That's going to be a hard price to beat along a guarantee you'll get on the ship.

Yes, the Royal Caribbean customer service agent.  Of course, he could have been wrong.  I was only interested from pier to airport (William Hobby) back we are arriving a couple of days early.  It was either $31.95 or $31.99 a person.  I am thinking it would cost the same from airport to pier too.

We check Uber and Lyft and go with the cheaper. Hobby is 30 mins closer than Huston international.

The shuttles stop at lots of hotels. Uber is about same $ and gets you directly to your hotel.
