I have the AI promotion. Does the classic beverage package include specialty coffees?

Yes but you need the Premium upgrade if you want alcohol I them.

Or just pay the difference in cost which would often be a much cheaper option.

Specialty coffee is included in AI. Non alcoholic only.

Yes so if your chosen drink is above the Classic limit just pay the difference.

I'm confused someone said if you want alcohol in them you need the premium package that hasn,t been my expereince

Don't know the current pricing (perhaps some recent cruisers can provide additional info), but as long as the specialty coffee is at or below the Classic ceiling price, you can get it with the Classic Package even if it has alcohol in it.

And even if the alcohol, by itself, is not included in the Classic Package.

You are right - I got confused as I don't get the classic package, just the coffee.

We had AI on a Summit cruise this year and when my wife ordered a specialty coffee with Bailys, they charged a $1 or $2 (can't remember the exact amount) plus gratuity on the dollar or two plus a few cents for some type of tax (we were docked at the time).  

 

Definitely NOT worth upgrading to Premium so save a couple of dollars a day.

Not exactly our experience.  Coffee with Bailey's required the Premium package.  Although priced at $9.00 or $10.00 Irish Coffee and Aspen Coffee were not available on the classic package.   Not sure why this is the case just relating our personal experience.
