2206 Posted December 29, 2022 #1 Share Posted December 29, 2022 Our Princess ship docks at 10. Is it a mad rush trying to get on a shuttle to get us to the cruise terminal? We would like to take a 10:30 excursion.

One’s driver could arrange to be ship side, albeit at the drop off/check in point. But rules may have changed, so check with one’s operator to make allowances for a slight delay. In no doubt they will work with one.
strobellayjam Posted January 7, 2023 #3 Share Posted January 7, 2023 It’s a very short bus ride (approx 5 minutes) from the ship to the terminal. Often it takes longer to wait for them to fill up the bus than the ride itself. Didn’t notice a mad rush for it when we were there on Christmas but we did not disembark right at the start. While Princess states you cannot walk it, we did see some passengers from the other cruise line walk to/from the cruise terminal as well.
livylotte Posted January 15, 2023 #4 Share Posted January 15, 2023 (edited) When we docked at Barbados at Christmas they were only allowing people booked on a cruise ship excursion to get on the shuttle bus. It was a little chaotic to be honest. Everyone else had to walk or wait until all the excursions had gone. The queue to get out of the terminal for independent folk was longer too. Only 5 mins on the bus but I imagine walking to the port entrance could be a bit of a trek - especially in the heat. To avoid this perhaps avoid the rush and get off the ship a little later.
