AFT cabin for a west bound TA

Hi, 

Never had an aft cabin before,  always regular verandas, is it a good idea for a TA?

Planning  the Barcelona - FLL cruise , October 2024

For those of us who prefer shade, then this would be a nice area, especially if you want to try a stern cabin anyway. It should be fairly well sheltered from the sun.

Not a TA, but I had an aft cabin for a cruise that had more sea days than planned (this was my infamous Bermuda Triangle cruise where we docked for only one day) and it was very pleasant for all those sea days.

Aft cabins are my favorite.  One advantage is you can watch the scenery on both sides of the ship.  It is also out of the wind when sailing, an excellent place to relax.  
 

We did a transatlantic Barcelona to Ft Lauderdale in November, loved it.  Favorite port was Madeira, beautiful island.

Anogther fan of aft cabin but hard to get as very popular. We were on the TA from Barcelona last Fall and loved it! We had a port balcony on deck 7 but found it very hot and too bright to read! Next time we will go Starboard.

Love aft cabins too. We did a Transpacific from Vancouver to Tokyo and we enjoyed the aft cabin location. I was glad I wasn’t in the bow of the ship as it was moving quite a bit for a few days when we had rough weather.
