Princess Plus from Galveston

Does Plus cover alcoholic beverages from Galveston on day 1?  I know on Carnival you have to pay out of pocket on day 1 and thought I read Princess is the same but now I can’t find where I read that🤦‍♀️.

Princess covers the alcoholic beverages but only when out of Galveston.  So for us, it was like around 6-7pm before the package kicked in.

Texas does not allow drink packages so you can’t use the package till you are out to sea. Also I believe they can only sell alcohol purchased in Texas which will limit the brands you can get

Thank you both for these answers!  I have sailed from Texas numerous times on Carnival so the package kicking in once at sea is a great change to me!  Limited selection is not a problem for me.

Princess will also give you a $25.00 inconvenience credit that shows up as OBC. .....on Galveston sailings.

They posted the OBC to our account a couple weeks ago…we sail this coming Sunday.

I wondered what that was on my account at Princess.com:

 

It showed up a few weeks ago without explanation. We sail the end of March 2023. Pretty generous IMO since we'll likely only have one drink each that first day. I thought I read somewhere that the drink package "value" for which we paid only covered 6 days anyway, so that would be really nice. 😎

 

After what I've been through with EZ-Air the last 6 weeks I deserve a bennie!
