Customs question... Protein Supplement

Hello,

 

We're doing a 6 week trip (NZ +TP + before and after) in March. We'll be flying into Sydney, and I know that Australia is very strict on what you can bring in. I take a daily protein supplement, in powdered form. I will of course declare it, and it will be in our checked bag as opposed to carry-on. Do you think this will be allowed in?

You will collect your bags before going to border security and will check your luggage and declared items. If you have replaced the white powder with another white powder you will be getting a extension on you're vacation.

Lol... No doubt! If there has been no powder replacement, will I be OK?

Avoidance is often your friend. Customs don’t like loose powders.

 

That particular brand is for sale in Australia at places like Chemist Warehouse. 

Avoid Customs issues.

Or you could try bringing a sealed, unopened container. At worst Customs will open the container and do a nick test on a tiny amount of the powder, while other passengers tut tut, glance sideways at you and draw their children closer to themselves!

There are Chemist Warehouses all over Australia which are the cheapest for most pharmacy purchases.
