Logie Posted March 12, 2006 #26 Share Posted March 12, 2006 Are you too lazy to put out a card on your door before you retire ordering room service for your morning coffee. I know they spoil us roten on these cruises. I mentioned that I liked the "pay for it" coffees, but when I am too lazy or don't feel like getting dressed right away I bring the folgers singles so Ican have somewhat decent coffee in my cabin. It would be a bit difficult to brew with tap water so yes I put out the card asking for "hot water" versus coffee for room service. Sorry for the confusion. shofer Posted March 13, 2006 Author #27 Share Posted March 13, 2006 I have read the Princess boards and they are 50/50 on the "anytime" dining. Some really like it. We had decided not to do late seating anymore since they now have most of the late dining shows before dinner. So there isn't much to do after dinner except go to the casino or drink more. We still haven't made a decision as we are still waiting to hear from another couple. This is where it's much easier traveling as a single couple. But if we do, I think the Coral Princess will be it for the time and the itinerary. Thanks everyone for all of your input, especially about balcony and shower size. I thought the showers on the Grandeur of the seas were pretty tight, are the Coral's even smaller?
rgastin Posted October 1, 2006 #28 Share Posted October 1, 2006 All the ice cream at the ice cream/sundae/milkshake place are for a fee?! How much is it? I have 2 teenage boys going on the Coral Princess and I would like to know how much this is going to cost me!
Rare geoherb Posted October 2, 2006 #29 Share Posted October 2, 2006 I remember the milkshakes were around $3 and the sundaes were around $4. There are free options for ice cream during lunch and dinner in the dining rooms and in the afternoon in the casual buffet.
rebeccalouise Posted October 2, 2006 #30 Share Posted October 2, 2006 I used to think that Princess and Celebrity were very similar. The ships are similar- in that they use quality materials and they are understated and pretty. However, I have sail five times on Celebrity and three on Princess. Princess was fantastic in the 90s but the newer ships- something is just lacking in my view. I had a good time on the Sapphire but nothing to write home about. I will be sticking with Celebrity.
