Pirate's LIVE Celebration Review...February 26-March 5, 2023

So, I left off at lunchtime, with my burger craving. It took 22 minutes to get thru the Guy’s line, I don’t know why so long. The place was hopping tho, I think EVERYONE wanted a burger! I took it and went to see Nichola at the Red Frog Tiki on deck 17 for a Caribbean colada. Ahhhh, it was good! Lido was pretty busy at this time. I ate and drank, then went back to Loft 19 until 3. I decided at this point I needed to go back to the cabin, take a shower, and chill for a few before we met up with our friends for dinner. And boy did I chill…I took an hour long nap, and woke myself up snoring!
At 6 we met up with our friends at Alchemy, and we hung there until a table was ready for us at Chibang at 7:15.
I got the steak tacos as my app, and boy were they yummy! The kung pao chicken main dish was delicious, I I didn’t find it spicy but a table mate did. My side of yucca was ok, and the chocolate c bang dessert was good. Overall, dinner was a great success!
We wanted to see the circus show in the atrium but even tho it was 45 minutes before showtime, it was PACKED. So instead we went to Golden Jubilee to hear Travis the guitar guy do a Johnny Cash tribute. He did really, really good! I got a Grasshopper and a Junebug drink while there, and the Junebug was awesome.
Our final stop tonight was the “after hours” Family Feud at 11:30 in the theater. Doors opened at 11, and I’m glad we got there right at 11, it filled up quick! For being billed as a “spicier” show, it really wasn’t. A few bad words were said, and a few spicier potential answers, but the questions and real answers were not bad. It was a great laugh tho, and kept us up until 12:15!
Now, time for bed. Tomorrow (well, actually, TODAY!) is San Juan.

Enjoying your review!

Guy’s was like that when we were on the Mardi Gras in January, but the line always seemed to move faster than we thought it would.

I had high hopes, I remembered how quick the line moved on MG, but not here. Oh well! That was yesterday. Today is probably a Big Chicken and salad day.

I think I’m the only person who doesn’t like Guy’s Burgers……..

Kim

They’re really overrated, I think my hubby cooks better ones, but it was this intense craving that hit.

I had myself the breakfast of champs, a Blue Iguana burrito. I love these things!! I realized as I noshed it down I haven’t had one since 2019. It was so satisfying.
After breakfast I sent Chris off on his dive. Hopefully he will get some pics I can share with y’all later! He’s super excited, his first “international” dive!
I’ve now laid claim to a clamshell on Serenity in the shade. I’ll stay here a while, then go on up to Loft 19, and then to the balcony. I debated on getting off and wandering around, but I think I’ll enjoy the quiet ship.

I have never had Blue Iguana for breakfast.  What are the meat options?  Do they have chorizo?  I really like chorizo and eggs in my breakfast burrito!!!!  TIA

Shaq’s and a salad for lunch. As I was eating the sandwich thinking it needed something extra, to jazz it up, I had an epiphany. If I eat Shaq’s again, I need to take the dang thing to the Guy’s burger topping bar!

No chorizo, they have chicken sausage and ham. Then they have scrambled egg, Mexican scrambled eggs (they have pico

In them), lettuce, cheese, pico, cooked onions, hash browns, tomato, sour cream, guac, and some other options I can’t remember right off. Wheat or jalapeño tortilla. Then the salsa bar to dress it up. It’s yummy!

As Chris nibbles his Guy’s Burger, I need to post a few things I’ve noticed.

* No paper FunTimes being delivered to the cabins like I had heard would be happening beginning this week. You can still get them from coffee shop/Guest services/etc tho.

*The Diamond/platinum gift is still the koozie.

Got off to walk to the umbrella street, and was so sad all the umbrellas are gone! 😭 Then I saw my favorite glass blowing store is going out of business. Walked over to the pigeon place, got pooped on by a pigeon, and took that as strike three and headed back to the ship. See you next March, San Juan!
