Transpacific Hawaii disembark

Does anyone know if a passenger on Transpacific from Australia to Seattle would be allowed to disembark in Hawaii which is final port of call instead of Seattle? Seems it should be ok since both are US ports. Thank you.

Is the cruise advertised as ending in Hawaii to let on new passengers? If not, then while not against any laws, might not be allowed.

The short answer is probably not.  This topic is discussed often and some people report being able to do a “downline disembark,” which is what it’s called.  I have personally been declined when I requested this as have many other people who have reported on Cruise Critic.  You could give it a try, but it would have to arranged in advance.  You can’t just pack your bags and get off in Hawaii.  Good luck if that’s what you’re wanting to do.

You also wouldn’t have gone through customs/immigration so your entry into the USA wouldn’t have been official.

If you try hard enough and are disruptive enough you MAY be allowed to disembark there, provided security is enforcing their no tolerance policy.
