NCL - folding scooter - Lithium Ion battery

Recommended Posts

We have two cruises booked. NCL and Celebrity. I found Celebrity so easy to navigate to give details of my scooter ( a 39 pound 17 inch wide folding scooter with a Lithium Ion 278 watt hours airline approved battery - which is classed as dry cell - all good  )

NCL form is a nightmare - as NCL often are  !! and we are Sapphire so we should be used to this lol but its the first time I need to use a scooter . I have sent them an email to ensure my scooter battery can cruise travel as we spend 2/ 3 weeks on land where I need the scooter most and then finish up with a cruise so scooter rental is not an option. All airlines have said yes.

A Google search and searches on here returned an extremely limited amount of info.

Anyone know for sure please ? Anyone who has dealt with NCL will know a different rep will give a completely different response so Id like some third party experiences

I have a Travelscoot and have brought it onboard NCL, HAL, MSC etc.   and also on many airlines - no problems.   Lithium battery has to be taken off the scooter and brought into the airplane with me.  I have  a bag that I put the battery in - I bought it from Travelscoot but I think any cloth bag would be fine.
