The Encore will be sailing Alaska for the next 6 months. All of the senior officers will rotate off and go on home leave at least once during that period. Captain maybe a couple three times.

When I got this type of plate, room service said it was for the club balcony suite where some type of "amenity" is offered a couple of times a week.  I think they sent strawberries as well.  Since it was an "upgrade bid" I wasn't sure what exactly came with the cabin.

 

Didn't come with a signed card like other "treats".

The Bird spent yesterday roosting at Trunk Bay on the island of St John. It is a beautiful beach with soft, white sand. It was about a 45 minute ferry ride from St Thomas and 15 minute drive one you are on the island.

We are thinking of going here when we are on our February Encore sailing so very happy to see you report on this..

 

As it as easy to get to as I have been reading and are there lots of chairs and umbrellas to rent?  How long did it take to get there?

Leaving at 2:00, we didn’t get to Puerto Plat u til 10:00. The choice is whether to have fewer, longer port calls and more sea days, or shorter port calls -5 more ports. We like more port calls, even if they are short.
