Watched as the Discovery Princess set sail ahead of us, then we were on our way.

After watching sail away, we headed back to the room to check to see if luggage had been delivered and then shower and change before dinner.

After dinner we wandered through the casino. Tried to get some money out at the machine to play slots for a little while, but the machine didn’t even give us the option. We’ll have to check with the cashier or the casino host and see if we just missed something, or is it not available.

Decided to head over to the Ensemble Lounge instead. My photos of the menu are blurry so I’ll get there later for better pics.

I had a Last Voyage and Mark was boring with a Captain & Coke. He did get a double though and it was covered by the premium package.

We met up with some of our table mates from dinner and chatted for a while, when the captain made an announcement that a passenger had suffered a heart attack onboard and we would be diverting to San Diego to meet a medical helicopter for evacuation.

After drinks, we headed back to the cabin so I could finish unpacking and found pillow chocolates. It’s the little things.

Café al Bacio this morning for an Americano and a Latte. Both were excellent.

Mark had a banana muffin that he enjoyed. I need the coffee to take effect before food becomes part of the equation.

No more coffee's with alcohol, e.g. Irish or Aspens?

Yes! They are still there. I had to break up the post with menu photos because it loads a lot faster. The premium internet service seems slightly less than “premium.” 😩

Ah -- spoken too soon. I should have been more patient.

I am so happy to see the Affogato still on the menu.   Rumor had it that it was no longer available.  I love to order mine with a shot of Bailey's floated on top.

That sounds amazing. I’ll have to try that! Thanks!

Martini Bar menus

We will stop in for drinks a little later!

Not on the menu but if you like gin martini's see if you can get a Cucumber Martini made with Hendricks.  I love those things.

If you have never had one, the Fresca Martini comes highly recommended.

We are ready as well. It has been awhile since cruising. We can't take more than this as we have a 18 year old dog. Hard to get our son to watch him. He doesn't do good with anyone else.

Yes, it seems pretty empty. Considering seems like a great 4 day getaway.

First thing on board, we took a sharp left turn and headed straight for Murano. Wanted to book the Veuve Cliquot champagne dinner. They only have eight slots and I was SURE we were too late to snag two slots for us. But…We got it!! We’ve never done this one before, so I’m really looking forward to it.

You are a couple after our own hearts! We plan on booking the Veuve Clicquot dinner as soon as we get on board on the 22nd! You must be the East Coast version of us.

Sushi on Five opens at noon on boarding day. It’s an additional charge, but such a nice alternative to the madness that is the boarding day buffet situation.

Also something we often do on Day 1.

We are actually on the West Coast. California.
Oooh that sounds wonderful. Love Veuve Clicquot. Never knew they had something like that. Good to know as I am sure it's only on 7 day or longer. But, now that I know. t will be for when we can partake in the future.

Love! a gin martini. The Sapphire Collintini and the French 75 are a couple that I like, but a Hendricks and tonic is my go-to drink when I don’t know what else to order. 😁

I will try to remember to try the Fresca martini. It sounds light and refreshing!
